Let’s Pretend It’s Not The End Of The World

Fam… despite all appearances, we are REALLY not okay over here. And yet…we persist. So does great music.

Okay, blog family —

This has been A YEAR. 🫤 😭 🫠

And after Pooky’s death a couple of weeks ago (see last blog), I pretty much fell apart. 🐈‍⬛ 🪦 🪽

I stopped doing anything, besides working and breathing. I just didn’t care anymore.

But I finally pulled myself together just enough to start creating poetry again, and I finally felt motivated to make my annual summer playlist, as well.

We’re still here — for WHATEVER reason — and yes, it’s still summer. Art and music can still move us. Sometimes, it can even SAVE us.

I still can’t say much right now, but I wanted to drop by and continue this tradition for all of you. Believe it or not, some people really love it and look forward to it each year. I even had several people email or DM me over the past few weeks, asking me, “Where’s the list, Jenn? Are you okay?”

We hang on, together. We love music, art, and dancing, because we are human.

Let us continue tapping into the better parts of our “human-ness.”

Let us continue to find joy where we can…
