Hello. 🙏 I’m Jenn Howe.
I’m a creator who currently resides in Arkansas…although I wasn’t born here, and I don’t think I’ll die here.
I like to entertain people and express myself via the arts — especially through my short films, photographs, and poetry.
I’m also a survivor of emotional/physical/mental abuse, molestation, rape, and several other dehumanizing and potentially life-destroying events…but I was stubborn, and I refused to give up the dream of a better future for myself. I spent years in search of a healthy, more functional way of living: counseling, therapy, yoga, retreats, meditation, and countless books about trauma and codependence. But the one constant in my tumultuous life — the one method of healing that has always brought me closest to my best, truest self — was creative self-expression.

After much work and reflection, I now realize that my mission during this lifetime was/is twofold:
- To first spend decades healing myself / learning how to love myself & this existence, then…
- To express that harrowing journey from abuse to recovery — from FEAR to LOVE — by utilizing my artistic gifts, and to share the resulting creations with the world in an attempt to heal and inspire others.
So, while some of my creations are purely “fluff” or for fun, most of them have a deeper meaning and purpose:
- The “dark/heavy” works are meant to help my fellow survivors realize that they are not alone, they are not crazy, and it was not their fault. My goal is to make them feel “seen” and understood, while hopefully inspiring them to step out from the shadows of terror and suppression to speak their own truth, and to express/heal their pain in their own unique and healthy ways — whether those methods are artistic in nature, or completely unrelated.
- The “light/uplifting” works are meant to help my fellow survivors realize that there IS still hope and the possibility of a happy, healthy life. My goal is to help them see what is beautiful and good about this existence — maybe for the first time — and to make them understand that it is their divine birthright to feel safe, to be respected, to love themselves and know that they are enough, and to enjoy all that is magical and glorious during their time on this wondrous planet.

Here’s a little bit more about me, in the form of a list…
