To the entire world….

To UKRAINE, PALESTINE, and all territories that are currently being forced to defend themselves, their homes, their land, and their loved ones, for absolutely NO legitimate reason, whatsoever…

To my fellow sisters — women of the United States — of ALL backgrounds, incomes, ages, or races, who are dealing with the rising mob of sexist pigs who think they are entitled to both your body AND total control of what you do to/with it…

To members of the LGBTQ+ community in our country, who are committing suicide in record numbers since the final election results rolled in yesterday morning…

To the immigrants of this country, who came here with dreams of a better life, who now fear that they or their loved ones may suddenly be deported, rejected for being somehow “other”…

To black Americans and ALL minorities in the U.S., who are feeling completely exhausted, infuriated, forgotten, and hopeless, now more than ever…

….to ALL of you, I sincerely want to say:

I’m sorry. I’m so, SO sorry that my country has failed you all.

I did NOT vote for him. I NEVER have. ALL THREE TIMES that he was (inconceivably) eligible, I did NOT vote for him. I would never. I have more sense — and more decency — than that. I would never choose HIM.

I’m sure there will be quite a few people who judge me, unfollow me, or hate me for standing up for you, for ALL of you, and for myself…but I don’t care. I’m going to stand for what is right. And I’ll clearly state that what’s happening now in our country, and what our fellow countrymen voted for yesterday…is NOT right. I’m sorry that the United States — and the majority of voters — have failed us all.

I’m human, greatly flawed, and I mess up PLENTY of things in my life, but I know that I’m on the right side of history in voting against him. Just as the Germans wrongfully supported Hitler many decades ago (and lived to regret it), many people in the U.S. are supporting a wannabe (and sadly, a soon-to-be) dictator, and somehow, they don’t even realize it. Trump & his henchmen will be remembered as the darkness that rolled over our land and destroyed Democracy — unless we can somehow undo the damage that was just done.

The most confounding and infuriating thing about all of this is: most of the people who support this ACTUAL RAPIST (!) and sexist, dishonest, racist, cheating, bullying, immature, narcissistic FELON (!) are the very Americans who call themselves “Christians”…and they somehow believe that this man is “God’s choice” for our country??? PLEASE…make it make sense. This man is CLEARLY not a believer, not a Christian at all…I’d be surprised if he’s ever even cracked open a Bible, unless it was for a photo op. Like, are you kidding — you’re buying that story?? He doesn’t even PRETEND to be truly loving or Christ-like.

Do these “Christians” honestly think that Jesus would go around with a scowl on his face and hatred in his heart, insulting people at every turn, mocking disabled people, grabbing/molesting/raping women, calling people ugly names, bragging and braying and being boastful, trying to bully people and take their freedoms away and regulate their bodies (and remember…GOD HIMSELF, above all, believes in FREE WILL…of the body, of our actions…even free will when it comes to our ETERNAL SOUL and what we do with it — He gave US the choice. Read your copy of The Holy Bible — it’s in there, crystal clear).

But God and Christianity aside, this “man” they selected to be President isn’t even a baseline-decent human being. And he clearly aims to be a dictator — to be unjust, unfair, and a danger to democracy itself. He has been VERY vocal and clear on these points…he isn’t even trying to hide it. And yet, SOMEHOW, over half of my fellow Americans thought this hateful bully was a viable option for President. Those voters literally, knowingly, and purposefully put in a vote for ACTUAL evil. They really did choose a lying, hateful, CONVICTED FELON AND RAPIST to be the “leader” of our country.

Yes, my country is still horribly racist and sexist…obviously. That’s ALWAYS BEEN obvious. And it’s wrong. Wrong, sick, and evil.

Yes, at this moment — and for a while now — we are an embarrassment to the world.

We could have it all, and we could be a shining example for the world, but no…hate, ego, arrogance, greed, and ignorance just “won” the day…AGAIN.

Now, I’m not religious…I’m “spiritual,” I guess…not about dogma, denomination, etc….but I have to ask, since everyone in my country seems so obsessed with GOD in this voting process…answer me THIS:

what would Jesus ACTUALLY do?

He would love, accept, and protect ALL people…the immigrant, the poor person, the single woman, the queer kid, the black man, the person who believes differently, and even the person who DOESN’T believe in Him at all.

He would not attempt to control or suppress ANY person or group of people, or regulate their bodies.

And He certainly wouldn’t be preaching hate and inciting violence, in ANY part of the world.

FREEDOM.

EQUALITY.

KINDNESS AND DECENCY.

LOVE.

For those who — like me — prefer love, joy, and what is fair & just: I don’t know, fam.

I really DON’T know what happens now.

But know that I’m sending waves of hope and healing to all of you. I love you.

And again: I’m sorry. 😢

Let us be strong, and remain true to what is loving, fair, and best for ALL.
