I’d like to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday at the end of May. 🎂 I received so many texts, letters, emails, gifts, and acts of kindness, from people nearby and all over the world. Here are just a few of the lovely and thoughtful gifts ⬇️
And yes…I DID find two four-leaf clovers on my birthday. 😂

This year’s list is varied, as usual. I mean hell, TAYLOR SWIFT even made the cut — yes, really. Years ago, I used to judge and say, “she’s annoyingly popular and not that special!” just like so many other people do…but then I grew up. Once you mature — and if you’re truly open-minded — you realize that just because something is mainstream, that doesn’t have to mean that it’s terrible. I don’t love everything she does, by any means. But I have to be honest: that young lady can occasionally write one hell of a pop song (often by herself, no less), and they’re catchy AF…including the one on this list — it really kinda slaps.
But enough about Taylor. Because there’s also everything from THE TURTLES to METALLICA, from FATS DOMINO to CUT WORMS, from INXS to JIMMY CLIFF.
You know how we do it around here: different time periods, different genres, different cultures. The list is both obscure AND mainstream (you’ll survive it 😂), both slow and fast, both soft and hard.
