Time Means Nothing

Lovely FALL. ❤️

Hello and happy autumn, blog readers! 🍁☕️🧣

My favorite holiday came and went. 🎃 #halloween 👻 And of course, I celebrated several times over the course of many days. I also had two costumes this year.

The first was this lady — the lead character from one of my favorite horror films, “Pearl”…

🪓 Pearl. I had a lot of fun with this one. 😆🩸

I made a VERY tiny film reel of myself as Pearl before I went to a party, and you can watch it at this link, if you care to see it (those who have watched the movie will get it 😂). ⬇️

My second costume is one you’ve seen before in Polaroid form, but I wanted to wear an elaborate version while I was out and about, so here she is again — Marie Antoinette. 👑

As the last queen of France. 🫅

This second costume as the infamous queen got me thinking: “I should make another short film, and I should pair it with my poem about Marie Antoinette!”

So I did. 🎥

And that’s the purpose of this blog: to share my new short YouTube film/poem about Marie.

I spend a LOT of time on these short films, even if they’re just a few minutes in length, so I hope a few people out there will enjoy or appreciate what I’ve made.

This poem, as I’ve stated in the YouTube description, is darker and heavier than most that I share online. It’s seemingly about the queen, but like most poems, it’s truly about something else — something much bigger.

And this poem’s larger message is especially important right now as the conflict with Israel and Palestine rages on. I have MANY thoughts about this, but I may save that for a later blog.

I’ll probably return very soon to wrap up this crazy year in photos and words and thoughts.

For now, I wish you all well and hope you enjoy my poem,

“Marie Antoinette’s Head”

Until next time…

Jenn. ☺️💙
