These Wolves, They Act Like Libertines

By Jenn Howe

🕯️ Morning at the writing desk. Well, ONE of my desks — I think I have four in this house now? 📑🖊️

It sure feels amazing to be in a good place — mentally and emotionally — for quite some time now. I hope each of you have found a measure of real self-acceptance and peace, as well.

With each poem I share with you, I am completely vulnerable, sharing my absolute truth and a large piece of my heart.

I know many of you will relate to this one, and I again offer up this fact:

YOU ARE ENOUGH. Not because you can do “tricks” or earn a lot of “likes,” or because you look a certain way or seem “impressive” on paper, or because you have a prestigious degree from a fancy college, or because you won a huge award or prize. Accolades, accomplishments, and awards — as extras, and in & of themselves — are fine, and they can be wonderful things. But you will still feel empty if you are relying on these things (or ANYTHING outside yourself) to provide your sense of self worth. You have worth just because you were born, because you EXIST, and you should be able to feel true warm regard — not egotism — for yourself at all times, no matter what. No extras required. ✨

I will return soon to round up the summer and share other things, but for now…

…please enjoy a few photos of these fuzzy, lovely rascals… 💕 🐈‍⬛ ⭐️

At another writing desk… 🖊️
…and yes, the Christmas tree is still up. 😂

Until next time…

Jenn. ☺️
