The year 2020 has been a clusterfuck of epic proportions…

—- My rapist got out of prison

—- COVID-19 terror across the country (much worse than it SHOULD have been)

—- A coworker died

—- Due to the virus, my daughter lost all of her jobs, and for a while, I had to pay all of my bills AND all of hers, at the same time

—- Living without a car (which is usually all well and good…except sometimes, when it isn’t)

—- Lots of non-Covid illness for me…probably just due to copious amounts of stress

—- The Great Termite Debacle (see previous post…also a poem in my upcoming book, “Pandemic Full Moon”)

—- The Dog Attack (see previous post)

—- Working WAY TOO MUCH (yes, I know I’m lucky to have a job during these times, but as an “essential employee”, we are not only working…we’re getting killed)

—- MOVING (I’m currently moving into a new house, and the process has been a screaming nightmare. It’s exciting, but overwhelming. I’ve lived here for almost two decades. Lana grew up in this house. And there is SO. MUCH. TO. DO…WHILE I’m trying to work 12 hours most days…MERCY

—- TRUMP 🤡

But something beautiful has happened…finally.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A NEW PRESIDENT!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Joe Biden won the people’s popular vote — that was clear. But we were all sitting here on pins and needles, waiting on our damn ELECTORAL COLLEGE. I know…our system makes no sense. The rest of the world be looking at America like:

They need to abolish this method. But anyway…

Biden was ahead in electoral votes as well, but it wasn’t a done deal. He needed a few more to reach 270. And then Pennsylvania — good old Pennsylvania (THANK YOU) — came through to save the day, giving Biden the final push he needed.

So…Trump is done, and we have a decent human being in office again.

I don’t want to hear anyone say, “ALL politicians are evil.” NO. Not like this. We just experienced four years of absolute hateful, ignorant, evil hell. He is an embarrassing and unsightly STAIN on the history of America, and he always will be. I’m glad I can say that I stood on the right side of history, voting against him both times. He’s such a tyrannical infant that he’ll probably refuse to concede or leave the office, but the people have spoken, loud and clear: we don’t want him.

🇺🇸BIDEN/HARRIS 2020: making America DECENT again. Character matters. PERIOD.🇺🇸

I just wanted to share the good news on my blog, because I’m overjoyed. This is the best thing to happen for a long time…both in the country and in my personal life. I feel HOPE again. Maybe evil doesn’t always win.
